KDS Valiant Notebooks - Any Good???

I stopped in at my local Sams Club this weekend and came across an interesting notebook. It was a KDS Valiant 6380i. Price was like $1200.00 for 800 MHz Pentium III, 8X DVD, 128 MB, 10 GB, 13.3" Active Matrix. I didn't know KDS made notebooks. Anybody have any stories, good or bad, on this item? I'm wondering how it can be so cheap if it's not a bad computer.
