My monitor is F*ed up now. It just goes blank with out any warning. I have to cut the power off (from the outlet) and on again to get it working. That used to work, but now I have to bang on the top of the monitor to get the picture again. Its still under warrenty from KDS, so I'm going to call them up tomorrow.

My question is this (don't know much about KDS policy). I didn't buy this monitor from a Retail store. I got it from a guy who build computers in a small store. He moved somewhere, and I don't know where he is now (I learned my lesson). I still have warrenty on this monitor. If I call them up, will they ask for a receipt (I don't know if they will accept the one I got from that store)? We paid cash for the whole system (it came with a monitor).

The Monitor is a KDS VS7e.

Thanks for you help. :)

If they don't take your reciept, then you can just tell them the manufacturing date. That is foolproof.

KDS could care less about the reciept. The warrenty is based on manufacture date. Call them and explain the problem. They are tops in co- operating with the consumer on RMA's. The visual sensations monitors are good monitors, but sometimes components can go bad. You will find some very understanding and co-operative tech support when you call.

Good luck

You can even do the RMA online. They'll pick it up, repair it or replace it, and send it back at their expense.

KDS has one of the best return policies...they will send u a new monitor before even receiving your bad one. Just give them a call and they'll go from there. YOu don't even need a receipt :)
