Have staples pricematch with outpost.com (which has free overnight shipping), then apply the 40 off 200 coupon, and you're down to $200 shipped + tax

update (from earlier post)
apparently sam's club has this monitor for $199, purchase 4 $50 gc's from walmart.com with the $10 discount.... then you'll be able to get another $40 off. or, for the lazy, you can just purchase 2 $100gc's or $75's and get $20 off.

I agree atomicbomberman. Why bother with those piddly 17 inchers? Just go straight for the 19s;)

This deal was posted in December KDS AV-7TF
I got it for $160+tax - Excelent monitor for $170.
It is only 17", but I would not pay extra $220 for 19" AV-195TF.

check out www.zeobuzz.com I have the 19" model of the monitor posted up for $190 as part of a "building your rig cheap" guide with links to the best deals... I'd made it for a friend in rl originally so a couple parts might sound weird since they were comments aimed at him (such as "yeah speed on a hdd DOES matter" or under system specs 56k modem says "just get the ethernet card linked since you have a cablemodem").

goldentiger, the monitor you're talking about isn't the fd trinitron model..... otherwise, that'd be a killer deal hehe.

Ark - I thought the same thing when I went shopping for a new monitor. I wanted a 21" or larger monitor, but settled for a 19" KDS AV-195TF because the 21" model was about $300 more. Now I wish that I would have gone for the larger monitor. Sometimes it's worth it to pay more. After using a 19" monitor, a 17" seems so small. . . . If you can afford it, go for a 21" or larger monitor :)

I agree, bigger is better, especially flat screen (Sony FD tube)
This 17" FD, I got, is actually 4-th monitor in my house.
I was looking for 19" regular ($200-$250 range), but picture quality + price made it.
Now I can compare it with my old 17" MAG DJ700 - huge difference.

Got this from Sam's Club last week for 199.xx. Nice monitor. Would get a 19" but cost much more.

I will say that on Monday, I did see the 19" one for $399 at Office Depot. Maybe it was marked incorrectly here in KC, but I know that's what I saw...I had to do a double take on that one. No rebate, just the marked price. That's not a terrible price for the AV-195TF.

I bought one KDS Avitron AV-7TF today. But there are two lines on the screen. Is this normal? Or I need to change a new one?

Hey. The lines on the screen are normal for a apeture grill monitor. I have a Nokia 447XiPlus, and it has the lines as well.

On the "17" monitors are pitiful & 19" monitors are all you should consider" line... Quantity without quality is not worth anything IMO. Paying $350 for a 19" monitor that looks like crap is just plain stupid. I just bought another 17" Nokia apeture grille model--I had my mind set on a 19" Samsung item. Then I saw it in a store. My mind was changed pretty quickly.

hatexd, that's normal. All Trinitron monitors have it. Live with it and in couple of days, you won't even notice it. Or so they say :)

Hi, Lawton, you think 17" trinitron should not have obvious lines. And 19" may have?

Do you think I need to change a new one. My KDS AV-7TF is 17".
