but 950p doesnt sport a FD trinitron tube, does it? i was perfectly fine with my $200 KDS VS195, yet happier with my $340 AV195TF. 950p is NOT flat (trintron clon).

if you like 950p better, good for you. still, this is an apples to orange comparison, 195TF is more comparable to the samsung's more expensive big brother 900NF. i wont claim the AG tech stomps all over the SM tech, but some people are willing to pay for the differnce and go with the AG moniotr. in other words, THIS IS A HOT DEAL.

If you have a chance, find a local B&M and look at a TF monitor. I'm still not sure I like my AV195. The pros are very sharp text (except in the corners of the screen), vibrant colors, and cool physical appearance of the TF tube. The cons are finicky geometry, blurring of text in the corners of screen (both of these "problems" are known side effect of TF displays and vary somewhat from unit to unit).

IMHO they take a bit of getting used to and whether the TF displays are better than the "almost flat" is highly debateable. I'm still tweaking mine so it's too early to tell whether or not I like it better than my Viewsonic E790.

Does this have the BNC RGB inputs too? Or just the regular 15 pin input?

$342 shipped is an excellent price for the KDS.....It is a very good monitor....But like moocat said don't expect perfect geometry and there is bluring in the corners....

Does the bluriness only affect these FP tubes? Because my 400PS doesn't have that problem. It was the top of the line 19" Sony made 2 years ago.

I have the KDS AV-195TF. I don't see any blurriness on mine. The quality is very good - no geometry problems at all. Prior to purchasing this monitor, I purchased a few others (flat Samsung) and looked at many others (Sony E400, Viewsonic PF790). Finally, I arrived at a store that had the KDS AV-195TF connected to a dedicated PC. The picture on the display monitor was perfect. I then ordered the KDS that evening from Onvia.Com.

Out of all the monitors I've owned over the past 7 years, this is the best so far. I paid $360 at the time, but this bargain is very good. Shipping isn't $33 for everyone. If I purchased one, the shipping from Mercata would only be $11 and change. Not a bad deal at all.

WHOOOOHOOOO----Just bought one for myself. Just gotta find a way to get it down the chimmey. Came to $321.06 with $ 23.00 dollars shipping to Houston,TX. and deduct the Ebates.com rebate (which amount do they use anyway) so around $ 329.00 shipped.

I've bought one. I've also read many good things about it. Very few bad. I've been waiting for a deal like this to justify buying a new monitor.:D

I don't see how you can Ebate this, as the MSN Passport rules state that you must start the shopping from MSN.com or one of some other Microsoft- owned sites.

I think you read the rules wrong, they are just pointing out that you can go to any particiapating site with ONE click. On the Mercata deal you have a receipt that shows a deduction in price and is what they will charge you, vs a rebate. If you have a problem with MSN, then you have proof to dispute it and a very legitimate one at that. I don't think that the discount would have been applied if the was a problem with me entering through ebates.

I always cringe at the ECS deals because it's a rebate and have that crappy 500 person limit thing, the MSN is taken off immediately.
