At that price they can be had fairly easy.
KDS 19E @ Buy.com

I won't say that I have a professional view of monitors, but I just sent my AV-19TF back for repair and went back to using my 20" IBM non-flat. OMG I can't wait till the new unit arrives. I loved the IBM when I got it mainly cause it had a lot of real estate to show. But after a year away it seems to hurt the eyes :frown:

My stepdad has one. Other than the fact that he likes to run 800x600 res on it, it looked pretty nice.

my Dad has a KDS (Avitron model) and it failed once, but they replaced it right away with their 3yr warranty.

IMHO these are decent monitors. Not high end Samsung, or Sonys, but decent monitors for the price. The screens aren't totally flat, but not too bad. They do have a 3 yr KARES warranty which gives you a replacement w/in 48 hours. No shipping if you buy from Wally World.

This the XF-9E model? I bought this 5 months ago from walmart for $200+tax, works great. Picture quality is very good and its great for games. Highly recommended especially at this low price.

hey, the 17" flat is $98.59 and the 19" flat is $165.59 (i think) at office depot this week. deal ends tomorrow?
thought someone would have posted the 17" at least by now, but a search for "kds" doesn't turn it up...

This must be an in-store, as the OD and OM sites do not list this particular KDS monitor. OD has the kds xf 9"B" and its listed at $199.99.

Nothing found in the circular either.

Thanks though!

yes, those are two of the main reasons i didn't post it. however, ALL stores in my area are doing this, and i was wondering if anybody else's were also... these are the TWO-TONED BLACK-AND-SILVER ones that they have been carrying for a while (?) now
good luck! hope someone else can get in on these... and give some feedback. i am worried that the price will change back tomorrow...

Oh yea by the way i bought one of these also, I now have dual 19 inch KDS monitors running of my Gfroce 4 GT4200 ViVO GT21 and I am in heaven, this Xflat is really nice and I get like zero glares on it which I love, I have had great luck with KDS. I bought this at office depot for 160 something out the door the guy knocked the tax of for me.

I have one. It's pretty good. Don't like it as well as my g/f's samsung. It more like a flat glass over a curved tube trick kinda thing I think. Don't believe the tube is flat itself, but I could be wrong. But for $188, that's great. I'd recommend it.

I had the xfalt 'B' instead of E not sure what the difference is. I took it back because of that very corner problem of which you speak.

I should have a replacement for my failing 17" kds (xf-7e i think) here in a couple of days. the warranty program is VERY good. i know the walmart here still has one of the 19" crt's left, so i'm gonna try to take the one i get from KDS back to wally world and exchange.

and as far as the letter in the name, the girl on the phone told me that i wasn't getting a 7e, but a 7f maybe (i can't remember) the only diff was the factory it was made in, or so she told me
