KDE - Unable to login

Hi there,

I just installed Mandrake 8 beta 1. I created a couple of generic accounts, etc. I can login as any of them, including root, from any of the text consoles; however, when I try to login from KDE or Gnome, I always get a "Login invalid!" or similar message. The reason I mention that I can log in in text mode is to let you know that the passwords are ok, and the accounts seem to be properly configured.
Any ideas?
