I had this problem before and no one seemed to be able to help. So, I'm back again
Quoting from my original thread...
When I had SP1 I downloaded some updates, one of which was HotFix KB823559. However, when I booted up, I received a warning saying that the update couldn't be completed because there wasn't an update.inf file. I installed Service Pack 2 thinking that would take care of it. However, KB823559 still tries to install itself and SP2 won't let it because it's an SP1 fix. Is there anyway I can locate and remove this from the harddrive or registry so it doesn't do this?
I already tried to stopping cryptographic services, renaming the cat root folder, restarting cryptographic services and reboot. That didn't work. Any other ideas? I've tried searching Microsoft's website and can't find what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help (again)
