Kazaa won't boot up.

Hi. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I figured this qualified as technical support. Anyway, Kazaa won't load up for me. I don't use it much(Once or twice a month), but I wanted to use it today. It returns this error:

Couldn't load library TopSearch.dll

I searched with AVG and it found nothing. Spyware is just one or two things, since I ran it yesterday and the computer has not been used since then. Ad-Aware is probably also only two things, since I ran it yesterday. Should I search with PandaOnline? Any ideas?

Just checked my Ad-Aware quarantine list and the .dll was in there. Should I replace it? It sounds integral to Kazaa, but it was never picked up before.

Kazaa installs spyware by default. 🙁 It also check for it's presence before it will run. If you adware it off, Kazaa will fail.

You can try using Kazaa-Lite instead. It's some hacked up (but safe) version that runs without the spyware. Google for it.

Kazaa media desktop installs loads of spyware, unistall it now. then use kazaabegone to remove the spyware (it is not uninstalled with kazaa).

Download LSP fix, because the malware in kazaa might damadge your internet connection if you remove it.

Just went to the KLite site. I thought it wasn't freeware? I remember a big uproar a while ago when people were looking for illegal copies of KLite because they started charging for it. My imagination?

Nevermind, I found the fee.

Kazaalite, not klite, is freeware, but its makers were forced to stop development due to copy right infringement on kazaa itself. it is a safe program, although stuff you do with it may not be safe.

klite++ is hard to find what i had to do once is use kazaa to dl klite++ if you want a copy let me know.
