kazaa without spywares???

I heard about kazaa lite version, does it works? I did a search and www.kazaalite.com appears the most. But what bothers me is that, I saw someone's signature from this forum (couldn't remember who) has MANY steps to do before kazaa is free of spyware. Anytips on this?

Not speaking as one who truly knows this product, but:

I go to a lot of trouble to secure my computer against things like spyware, hacker intrusions and virus infections. Any application that I install that has the job of sharing folders on my computer with others on the Internet comes to me with a heavy burden of proof that it will not compromise my security. If a well funded company like Microsoft has to issue security fixes every few weeks for its products, what can I really expect from this company in a best-case scenario, let alone one in which the company has just returned with new product that claims to remedy some arguably outrageous behavoir of the old.

So this pickpocket comes up to me on the street and says he's sorry for stealing my wallet the last time, but if I allow him to continue using it, he won't rip me off any more...

You can easily remove the spyware from Kazaa. Kazaa Lite is just simply a version that someone did the work for you and repackaged it. Get it from www.kazaalite.com.
What they remove really isn't 'spyware', it's just the popup ads and that silliness. Why people call that 'spyware', I'll never know.

Actually there was more than just spyware involved with Kazaa , there was a trojan installed courtesy of Brilliant Digital .

What made it so bad was that there wasn't any notification of it during normal installation .

If you do already have Kazaa installed or even Morpheus for that matter you may want to un-install them and also get the BD3 killer while your at the Kazaa-Lite web site and run that before you install Kazaa-Lite.
