I'm a WinMX user, can someone explain how the way Kazaa's network works? How is it when compared to WinMX? Why many people love Kazaa so much?

I don't know much about how the network works, but I have used both and I absoultely hate WinMX!! kazaa lite all the way!!

yea i cant stand winMX teh new version is horrid. i remember teh days when i would search for something and then Dl it. not its all messed up

kazaa works and it works well. and you can DL videos

I have been using Kazaalite for a while now.

A strange thing happened yesterday which did not impress me though - I was downloading a large file 780MB via my 56k connection, well anyway I was some 200MB into the download after a few days and I came back to the PC to see a kazaa "failed" status for the file transfer.

The whole thing was deleted from my shared folder?

Why the hell did it do that?

Did you remove it from your kazza transfer list?

All the stuff I download stays and will resume, but it will be deleted if I remove it from the transfer list

Nope - didn't ask it to do anything 🙁

I just came back to the PC - saw the "Failed" status message for the file. Decided to close and then re-open the program to make sure it was not a connection issue.

When I logged back in and navigated to "Traffic" there were no files in the "queue" at all - however, I only had the one file for downloading before closing the program.

I've had files in Kazaalite for weeks or even months before waiting for a download to resume/complete without any trouble previously. 🙁

WinMx = sucks

Kazzaa = great

I can not remember when the last time I paid for software.

Thanks Kazza users!

Fo Sure!

What exactly is wrong with WinMX? I find it to be very good in mp3s, and fairly good in videos as well. It supports many filters, which is useful in mp3 searching. I almost never use Kazaa Lite anymore, I use WinMX for mp3s and eMule for everything else. eMule's just tons better than Kazaa, but isn't so good for mp3s.

Personally I am not too impressed shelling out money for the latest game software title then being required to download necessary patches to play the game properly.

Software should only be released when it is READY to be paid for by the consumer.

I'm sure many BF1942 owners wish they did not pay for the game 😉

Most software I have downloaded via P2P programs have only been used a couple of times and then junked as they were not quite as useful as I had hoped they would be.

Software that IS suitable for the purpose and fully tested for bugs etc right out of the box should be paid for though 😉

Unless it is freeware that is 🙂
