Im on broadband.

How the heck do i setup kazaa to allow faster upload speeds?

I have a friend downloading a shared file from me & the darn upload speed seems to be capped at 16.00kbs

If that isnt bad enough, if someone else downloads from me at the same time, the 16kbs speed is divided between them!

Surely i can make it go faster than this!

I have the setting.
Maximum bandwidth in kb to be used for transferring files to other kazaa members.
set to MAXIMUM.

Do not function as a Supernode box is checked.

Optimal bandwidth use when computer is idle is checked.

Are these settings wrong?

In all likelyhood, your upload speed itself is the problem, not kazaa. Most broadband services severely limit upstream speeds. 128kbps or 16 kBps is pretty standard as far as caps go, I know that's what mine is at home on Comcast cable (not at college though 10mbps up/down :)) . About 3 or 4 years ago they capped it, I used to be able to get speeds of up to 1 Megabit (125 kBps) before it was capped. Try sending a file to someone directly through an ftp or even an AIM file transfer, and see how fast it can go.
