today i downloaded two songs on kazaa, and both were really messed. it went from music to 'ee ee ee ee ee' kinda staticy crap. then it goes back to music sometimes, and back to static. scared the sh't out of me. i tried it in wmp too, and its the same. this happened to anyone before? is this on purpose to stop people from downloading mp3s?! goddamnit.

yeah i noticed that too... what i did was download like 2 similar files of the same song... one was screwed up, the other wasnt... it sucks i know

I am ticked off, because almost all of the songs I go to download on K++ are h4xed by the RIAA. Any suggestions on how to get songs that are unaltered??

just look for the one with the most users, this ussually is right, also take note of the integrity of the file

1 or more poor ussually mean it's garbage

That doesn't work, because when I do that I get the garbage file.

Thats true, it will even say quality excelent and 300 users will have it, yet still be a garbage file. You can download pre-screened files using the hash system they have going, read about it on kazaa++'s site...im not on my computer so i cant really give u the links.

I think the reason thats it's screwed like that is that say 270 of 300 have the good file but it downloads simultaneousely from everyone so you get part of the good file, than the screeching than more of the good file and so on. So it's not 300 people having the bad file, 1 person with it can screw anyone else trying to get it.

Nitpicking here, but it's not theft; it is copyright infringement. When you download music, you're not depriving anyone of any property that they possess. When you blindly parrot the RIAA party line proclaiming theft, you also proclaim your ignorance.

I am pretty sure that they only dl simultaneously from people with identical versions of the same file.

i was thinking the same thing. i think it goes by identical... meaning identical file size. so it could be easily spoofed.

hopefully they come up with some sort of filtering process in

Leave the US, they have no jurisdiction elsewhere.
im in canada... this is not helping me get non-fvcked music.
