Kazaa question...

hi, I'm wondering in kazaa is it possible to get songs from one person only. For example I know my friend has DSL and he has songs I like, so can I dl songs from him? I know once you're downloading songs from a person you can find more songs from him/her......thanks

From Kazza help: When you are connected to the network that is used by Kazaa, you are connected to only one (or maybe a few?) Supernodes. When you do a search, it will only search through the list of files from the people that are connected to the same Supernode(s).
There are however many Supernodes (thousands?) all over the world. So the chance you and your friend are connected to the same piece of the network is very small.

If you want to exchange files, there are much better ways. Most Instant Message Programs (MSN,ICQ,etc.) have to ability to send/receive files. Another good way is IRC, but that requires some more computer experience.

I would suggest Net Meeting.

ICQ or any messaging system would work for what you want to do.
Or if your friend doesn't want to send you the files personally, get an ftp server and get him to set it up so that you have access to his music.
You could always just go over to his house and connect to his computer with a crossover cable or through a switch as well and get them that way.

OR: burn all the songs you want as data files, to a cd/cd-rw, then rip them to your hard drive.

You could use Direct Connect p2p or you could set up an FTP or you could even use winmx and go
on some obscure napigator server together.
