Kazaa not returning a lot of results

I'm using v1.5.1. I was downloading yesterday and everything was fine. Then this morning, my search results were 1/3 of what it usually is. The newest version, 1.7, is bragging about doubled search results. So is Kazaa purposely limiting the search results of older versions so people would download 1.7?

Yeah, Kazaa is dead. It's gonna keep running for a bit longer, but it'll be shut down soon enough.

change Dword MaxSearchResult to what ever you want.

kazaa was sold and the previous company that owned it was sued. kazaa is still up and running

Kazaa is still up and running. As kermalou indicated the company is now incorporated on an island somewhere. It should be up and running for quite awhile.

I was wondering if this isn't the college summer vacation effect. A lot of the people that are file-sharing are the ones in college. With the summer here many if not most are now home for the summer and many of those are probably now on dial-up.

No problem. You can also do this:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kazaa

Change LimitBitrate decimal value to zero. You ever notice that when you download mp3 it returns 128k or below? This will take care of that...
