Kazaa Lite still the way to go?

Is there any program anyone knows of (other than IRC) that you can use to download full albums?

I used to use Edonkey a lot but quit several months ago because it got to where I couldnt D/L anything. Has it gotten any better?

I use Grokster now, though it seems pretty slow now.
I removed all the spyware awhile back from Grokster using the info here (now they changed to Kazaa), though Grokster still has about 3 pop up IE windows after close Grokster and open back up the 2nd time.

A few questions:
Any reason for me to change to Kazaa?
I was going to update my Grokster w/ a newer version. I guess it'll install the Spyware stuff again (?). Since the site above is geared towards Kazaa now, what would I need to do differently to apply the hacks to Grokster (I can't remeber how I did the hack awhile back)?

I used to use WinMX for music, and still try, but lately I can't D/L much of anything. Either there are a million people in queue for the file, then after waiting forever, the person logs off, or sometimes it won't D/L for other reasons.

P2P used to work so well. Too popular now I guess.

I use the eDonkey Java Client.. it is WAY faster than the normal version.

Go to the edonkey forums, someone posted about how to set the java version up. Works great!

is it faster just the program RUNS faster or does it actually DOWNLOAD faster?

Anyone still using Direct Connect? Does it let you download from multiple sources now? Or is it still one connection per file?

I want to know also. Direct Connect would be aswesome if you could download from multiple people at once.

I have both. If I don't find it on Kazaa Lite, I go looking on kazaa.

i've been using morpheus and then kazaa then kazaa lite for the longest time. now at my college, kazaa and many other popular DL programs are blocked off. does anyone know how to work around it by using proxies or something, or should i just go with edonkey like the many people here suggest?

So Kazaa and Kazaa lite are different enough to return different search results? I thought just spyware was removed.

I know this thread is kinda old now but I still have some questions. Has anyone used the Kazaa Lite Deluxe? How is it? And also, what other files should I download and use from the Kazaa Lite site? (Like the Klez virus removal, Ad-Aware, Host-File, Net-pumper, etc.)
