Never seen the Puerto Rico Seinfeld :( Having a tough time finding it. Still running Kazaa Lite 1.5...figure that may have something to do with it. Anyone using 1.72? Still free of spyware, etc.?

I installed Kazaa Lite 1.7.2 last night. It seems to be just fine. I also have LimeWire 1.5.3 Pro (yeah, I paypal'ed the $9.50 to register it). I like Kazaa Lite better, I think.

No spyware that I can tell.

Bruno, I've got the episode if you want it. I'm on a T1 and will be at the computer it's stored on tonight. Just PM me- would prefer to transfer over AIM.

I use the same programs for the same stuff, although I prefer to use WinMX for higher-bitrate and VBR stuff, while Kazaa-lite for 128 bitrate songs. (yes, I know Kazaa now officially lets you get stuff that's got a bitrate higher than 128, there is not much of that out there).

Thanks NightFlyer but I'm ok. Me=st00pid. Was typing Sienfeld instead of Seinfeld :p

Anyone still using Direct Connect? Does it let you download from multiple sources now? Or is it still one connection per file?

does WinMX have a lot higher bitrate users to get from? I'll have to check that out

I've never used eDonkey before. What makes it better than Kazaa for videos and such? A larger user base? How much spyware comes loaded in eDonkey?

Winmx
I use winmx all the time. it is very fast, but most users only let one d/l at a time. And trading is kind of a hassle. It's very good for high bitrate songs tho. Check it out.

kazaa = teh suck

I can never download anything higher than 2k/sec on my 1mbs cable connection. WinMX is good for music, but not much else since everybody is always qued when searching for movies and programs.

The thing about edonkey is that it has a few websites (www.sharereactor.com being the best one) that have loads of files listed, which you then DL through edonkey. They get new stuff as quick as anyone I would bet.

I get all my mp3s from WinMX. It doesn't hog my whole connection (56k) like kazaa lite does, so I can still browse the forums when I'm downloading something. I only get 192 bitrate songs and there are usually plenty on WinMX.

I'm guessing you're just using the search function...? Yes, I agree with you, the search function does suck.
