Kazaa Lite shut down

Development on Kazaa-Lite has ceased due to this situation, however the program will continue to work fine, until who knows when.

i read this on friday, but it still works for me so no complaints

All it means is that they've stopped developing it. So for now it'll work fine, but next time Sharman tweak kazaa, they'll probably lock k-lite out.

Of course, I'm pretty sure that someone else will find a way around that 😉

This is old news.

K-lite is way better than KaZaa because it has no spyware. This advantage is big enough for a lot of people, myself included to prefer it over the original, even though I hardly ever use it because of its limited usefulness.

I think you need to read better.

I cracked down and bought a subscription to Usenet, never looked back. Kazaa turned to sh!t anyways, virus's, looped tracks, renamed files, all kinds of crappy quality encodings etc. etc.

I noticed yesterday that Verizon's newsgroup servers actually require you to use your username/password to connect to it now. Never had to before.
