Kazaa Lite lockups

I've got a problem with Kazaa Lite 1.7.2. It will randomly lock up when downloading files. I first noticed it when I was using the Speed Up utility and it would lock up and not allow me to maximize the window. Then after about 4 minutes or so it would come back. So I stopped using it but it still does it. I noticed it again today when I was downloading a file I right clicked on the file and an hour glass came up and it just locked up on me. Anyone else have trouble with this? You can see the specs for my computer in my sig.
 
i have similar issue where the program stops responding, and hdd activity is high for a minute or two like it's scanning the entire hard disk. really annoying and interrupts other downloads sometimes. anyone know of a registry key edit or better version to be running?
 
Mine just sits there and the processor is pegged at 100%. It does it about every 5 minutes now and stays locked for like 1-2 minutes. I made sure there was nothing else running and it still does it.
 
Mine seems to stop downloading sometimes. I've been rebooting the system to get things moving again.
 
I don't post much, but when Kazaa goes down I have nothing else to do. My system locks up also to where I have to reboot the entire system. I even had the problems with Kazaa Lite 1.7.1 and just upgraded to 1.7.2 today. Same problems. Any ideas?

I have no problems with kazaalite 1.7.2. I have it running 24/7 downloading 10-20 files at a time.
