I am trying to register KaZaa (file sharing utility). When I try to go thru the registration wizard I get a Windoz dialog box that says something like:


<< &quot;KaZaa has generated errors and will be closed by Windoz. You will need to restart the program. An error log will be generated.&quot; >>


Then it shuts down.

I am running Win2kSP1, Voodoo3-2k and IE5,5 on a homebuilt 2xC366@550. Also running CPUIdle Pro, MotherBoard Monitor and Norton AV. I'm on dialup @ 26kbps.

I've seen this before but could never diagnose it. Any ideas what might be causing this?
 
poorly written software? dunno. do you have to register it to use it? i've never seen/heard of it myself.

i've never seen a registration wizard produce that error.
 
Hey chemos, KaZaA is a file sharing utility like Napster. Only KaZaA lets users share video as well as audio files.

I dunno but am pretty sure it's gotta be registered. Every time I hit an &quot;OK&quot;, &quot;Next&quot; or &quot;Apply&quot; button I get the message and the cold shoulder, just like my girl friend 🙁 Besides, I want to register so that the RIAA MP3 narcs will know where to find me 🙂

I can probably get another gf and a &quot;Napsterette&quot;, but I like both. I just want a little respect 🙂 Oops, a little OT there. I mean I would really like to get KaZaA working.

Like I said, I've seen this error message before in other circumstances, but have never found the cause.

No need to register, I've already given the RIAA all the nfo they need on you, cause of the leeching, pirating lamer that you are.
