Every time I try to open kazaa it says "you have uninstalled a part of kazaa....". I tried uninstalling kazaa and reinstalling it.. I tried 2.0 and 2.02, and I also tried kazaalite.. it gives me that message no matter what. I completely removed it and all it's programs, deleted the directory and the registry keys and it is still saying it. Anyone have any ideas?

You usually get that if you removed its spyware or you have a program blocking it from being placed on your system. I think it's cd_clint.dll in your \windows\system32 directory. If that file is there, delete it and then try reinstalling Kazaalite. (Kazaalite puts a file with that name in there so Kazaa will work but it's just a bogus file.)

weird, I'm getting the same problem today. I installed adaware after kazaa and I guess it removed that file. But I've done the same thing before numerous times and never had this problem

humm. well i'm on another computer here now with kazaalite working fine on it and I did a search for cd_clint.dll and it doesn't show one in the system32 directory.. it only shows one in the kazaalite directory

The program just needs to find it. Usually, it installs it in the system32 directory.

And yes, Adaware will remove it when it finds it so you need to exclude it. Spybot is a little smarter in that it will replace it with a dummy file automatically. (which is basically what Kazaa-Lite does in the first place)
