I opened WinMX just the other day and it connected right away. I didn't search for anything though, because searches could draw unwanted attention, so I can't say whether the network has any users, or is simply an RIAA honeypot.

I didn't know the developers of Kazaa later developed Skype and made billions by selling to ebay and Microsoft.

I think Kazaa was still shit in 2002. But I might be remembering the wrong program.

Was Kazaa the pseudo-torrent one that actually allowed multiple connections? I remember like one notable program after Napster died...and a LOT of garbage. Then, huzzah! Bittorent.
