Kazaa and XP freezing/crashing?

whenever i load Kazaa and begin multiple downloads, XP ends up freezing, causing me to have to reboot. after 3 or 4 reboots, i usually have to reinstall XP. any idea what causes this? maybe im downloading too many things at once?

Well IMHO Kazaa is nothing but trouble. Rid yourself of this spyware demon my son.

I agree, there is nothing good about Kazaa. If you need filesharing then look else where.

Uninstall Kazaa
Run AdAWARE
install Kazaa Lite (Not version 2!)

my last post didnt go through, buit i wanted to say that all i have ever used is kazaa lite 1.7, then upgraded to 2.0, but both freee my puter i think.
any other good p2p for music (non-copywrited of course)?

hold the boat, the comp crashed again yesterday, and kazaa lite wasnt even installed or running. im starting to think maybe norton antivirus crashes my computer. is that possible?

It crashed during an install? I have seen that. Did you use the recovery feature, I did once, saved my ass.

what do you call "freezing"?

for examply, you can dl a large file, and depending on how norton is configured, will scan it when you try to move it, access it, etc. if you hit C+A+D, and look at the status, it will say not responding.. however, if you wait for a minute or two, it often comes back....

well at least it has happened on my computer b4.

Hey are you using Norton Crash Guard???
Cause that actually causes more crashes than it stops. If you installed Norton System Works and not just Norton AV then you probably have it.
Uninstall it if you do, it's nothing but trouble.

If you have lots of shared sub folders then kazaa will freeze your machine every minute or so - just share one folder if possible
