Kaz Matsui?
He it .255 with an obp of .300 last year.
He's lucky he still is on a major league team this year.
In the video he did nothing except what every player does when he gets caught in a rundown.
It was the other team that took its eyes off the runners and allowed them to score.

Most of the time I see the Americans running straight into the baseman as though they have a chance.

Then you probably don't watch a lot of baseball.
Everytime I've seen a rundown, the runner has extended it for as long as he can..

nothing worthy of its own ATOT post, but anyways-- cliffs:
1) Mets are playing Diamondbacks. Mets are batting with the bases loaded and one out.
2) Matsui is on first base.
3) Mets batter hits ball to the SS for what look to be a double-play ball.
4) SS throws to first (WTF?) for the first out, and one run scores, but they now have Matsui is a rundown between first and second.
5) Matsui runs back and forth long enough to allow an extra runner to score before being tagged out.
