Check that out. Unfortunately you'd have to have a fairly still subject because of slow shutter speeds, but this is nonetheless AMAZING. I searched the forums for every conceivable topic string for repost, but didn't find anything.

I read somewhere that a while back, Sony disabled a function on one of their cameras because they discovered that guys were using them to take pictures through people's clothing. Hahaha that's awesome.

Their first nightshot camera did. They had to change the wavelength to keep it from happening anymore. :(

Those filters are really cool. I got to play with one at a camera show. :D

i have one of those first sonys with the night vision. I found out i could see threw peoples clothes about 5 years ago at a japaneses steak house xmas party! I was filming people dancing like complete idiots on the dance floor when this girl in party hoe pants sat down right in front of my lens and i noticed Ummm shes not wearing a bra! Needless to say it got boering fast, and it only works on cetain types of clothes like party hoe pants.

i have a sony with nightshot, and i purchased 2 IR filters. in nightshot, they do work. its pretty simple. IR light passes through that which visible light does not.

this is no magic xray, it wont work on every piece of clothing or object, but it does work to an extent. I opted for the Hoya RM90 and RM100. I think i paid $100 for them.

IR photography is also beautiful as seen here as a simple example.

the world looks amazing under IR.

You can also do this with most video cameras with Nightvision if you put on a certain filter. I can't remember the exact filter, but I know it's a very odd still-camera-only filter.

P.S. they demonstrated this stuff on The Today Show once, using a guy wearing a black T-shirt with a word written on his chest. Now obviously you couldn't see the word while he was wearing the shirt under normal conditions, but through the camcorder they hooked up with this filter/nightvision combo you could clearly see "SOSA" in large black letters, clear as day.
