Very nice. A question: is it possible to get your Kaveri chip stable enough for a SuperPi run at speeds higher than 4.5 ghz? Such as 4.6 or 4.7?

There are claims that Kaveri can not produce higher CPU performance at speeds higher than 4.5 ghz. Any chance you could do a SuperPi 1M run at 4.7 (or 32m, if it's stable enough) so that we could compare the results with the results you got at 4531 mhz?

There is SUperpi 32M at 4747 MHz. The board will aviable this month what I heard.

So you shaved off 38s . . . nice! That proves that your rig is showing performance improvements beyond 4.5 ghz. That difference is too great to be within margin-of-error.

Kaveri is quick in 32M, Im looking forward for LN2 and better chip. Some 6 GHz run could hit around 10m of 32M :). Not bad for AMD

Agreed. Your stock 32m run was faster than anything I've turned in with an overclocked K10.5 chip. I've beaten that 1M time before, but I've never gotten under 17 minutes on 32m. This is interesting, considering the age of the codebase for SuperPi and the number of complaints that Bulldozer/Piledriver's FP performance falls below that of K10.5. Of course, Kaveri is Steamroller . . .

I'll have to revisit this bench on my FX. I can do 1m digit runs in ~17.0 seconds (if I remember right). I don't think I ever tried a 32m run. It is interesting to me to see how the changes AMD made for Steamroller stack up. Nice overview of the motherboard + 7850K OP.

99.9% scaling from 4532 to 4734....

38s is in Superpi a lot time. For extra 200 MHz its good save 38s. The Kaveri could beat AMD 32M WR (at air with good chip is not the problem) around 6.1-6.2 GHz.
Example my air results: with Thuban at 4590 MHz I had 14m 58s, with my FX-9590 at 5.4 GHz is 13m 55s and there are bonus in L3 cache
