"Katrina was sent by God to torment the American empire"

  • Thread starter Thread starter
  • Start date Start date

I knew they had to be thinking this:

http://www.albawaba.com/en/countries/Kuwait/188475

Al Qaeda group in Iraq, which is led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, on Sunday praised in an Internet statement what it said was the "start of the collapse" of the United States after the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.

"Congratulations to the Islamic nation, to our sheikh Osama abu Abdullah (Osama bin Laden) and to sheikh Ayman Zawahiri (bin Laden's deputy) for the destruction of America, which is at the forefront of evil. It is the start of its collapse."

This further proves how crazy our enemies are. What about the tsunami that killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims last year? They're so out of touch with reality. Religion in the hands of single-minded idiots is a very dangerous thing.

Did they claim responsibility for the hurricane too? Perhaps they did an extreme sort of rain dance in the mountains of Tora Bora.

I say we hire china to nuke them! afterall, china gets hit by hurricanes, so they got something to gain from it. and they're closer

Why are there any al Qaeda still alive in the mountains of Tora Bora FOUR YEARS AFTER 9/11???

Just because they call themselves muslims, doesn't make em so, the tsunami hit one of the most sin filled places on Earth...they were clearly punished.

I'd say that they are Muslims, just like the crazy Christians are of that faith.

Anyways, if the tsunami is a 'punishment', then are large portions of the Middle East living in filth and poor living conditions also being punished? I guess they are...

I don't think that we can hope that these people are very rational. They are religious extremists.

I'd guess that you just can't kill or imprison everyone.

Nope. They brought that on themselves. Has nothing to do with their religion.

Why not? It's clearly a punishment from some sort of mythical sky daddy. The Middle East is one of the most sin filled placed on Earth...and the people there are clearly being punished for it.

Then why does Bush insist on trying? And ALWAYS the WRONG PEOPLE?

Bush is in Iraq screwing up a nation that had NO connection to 9/11 and NO WMD while the real perps are running around in the mountains of Afghanistan planning their next man-made disaster.

No, it clearly isn't. Because of all of the sins being done there, almighty GOD has decided to punish many of the people with poverty, illiteracy, and squalid living conditions. It is pretty obvious that this is their punishment for their many sins.

Well you see....to protect freedom...terrorists...weapons of mass destruction...solar winds...for freedom! *Crowd Cheers*

I guess he feels he might as well make an effort, if he's even doing that now. Better to try something.

I don't understand. Why do you want to do that if you are already questioning why he's even trying to do it? But I agree with most of your position in this regard.

Hardly! With them running around all sinful, they are clearly being punished with their horrible conditions. Evidence 1: The tremendous heat and deserts is a punishment from God.

If the Middle East actually tried to be less full of sin, then maybe they could actually be allowed to rise up from the depths of poverty and squalor.

Poverty and Squalor? Where I lived/visited in the Middle East(Kuwait, Dubai, Yemen, UAE, Saudi Arabia) it was beautiful and rich...I don't know what you are talking about. Anyways if you keep talking in that tone, I will keep repeating the same like until you stop being silly.

Oh and the weather in Middle East >>>>>>>>>> North America(imo)

They are not being punished, they brought it on themselves.

The weather in the Middle East is a**. WTF are you talking about?

I went there once after coming from New Delhi, India and somehow it was HOTTER.

In Saudi Arabia it hits 140 F sometimes. That 110 F in Delhi seemed nice in comparision.

We love it there like that, and say the same thing about the weather in North America, too cold and unstable.
