Small government conservatism in full effect. We won't provide food assistance for poor children, but we will make damn sure you carry that embryo to term. No matter what.

Interesting we didn't know her until that stellar performance in the SOTU response. Note to self, don't ever take that job.

It’s awesome it would take your private medical information and turn it over to third parties. Nothing creepy about that at all.

From reading the article it seems like more of a single point for pregnant woman to go and seek resources for pregnancy if they want (Except for Abortion of course). Seems to me like this is already being handled at the state level and redundant.

"Require states to apply child support obligations to the time period during pregnancy, if so requested by the mother."
Uh... how does that even work?

"Over a third of the state’s 67 counties are classified as “maternity care deserts,” areas without access to birthing facilities or maternity care providers. Last fall, three Alabama hospitals announced closures of their labor and delivery departments. Additionally, Alabama has the highest maternal mortality rate in the nation at 64.63 deaths per 100,000 births."
Well, they certainly have chosen a stupid way to try and rectify this problem.

Don't say "rectify", they will get ideas.

It's voluntary, so no big deal. That said, we don't need yet another government agency to pour money into.

Really? Is this why Republicans reject food subsidies to poor children?
Is that why they deny care to women with fetal abnormalities? (Kate Cox, etc)
In a statement, Britt said the bill was proof that “you can absolutely be pro-life, pro-woman, and pro-family at the same time”

On one hand, yeah, we need to do more to actually provide support to women who are pregnant and the children who are born.

On the other hand, I'm not sure many people would trust a government website that has the potential to collect personally identifiable information on a political shitshow topic.
