I have Charter and a netgear router.
www.kaspersky.com page will not open and always get the error Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
I was trying to find a solution to this yesterday, but all I could find on this was to turn off the firewall in the router, which I really don't want to do. Kaspersky's Forums...... HERE
(one of the posts in the thread)
FYI-
After dealing with charter then netgear then charter again...
I was told that Netgear was blocking the www.kaspersky.com website. I was told that there is no way around this issue other than disabling the firewall in Netgear. I did this and, VOILA Connected to kaspersky.com with no problem.
I was then told by charter that netgear is aware of the issue and that they are supposed to be coming out with an updat/fix for this issue. So, any charter customers using the netgear router which is sold by charter to their customers will have this issue. I don't like turning off the router firewall, but i have faith that my KAspersky will do its job.
Kaspersky may want to find out why Netgear is blocking this website. Sounds like they don't like Kaspersky, lol. Not good for your business. If you find something to correct this issue, please let me know.
Thanks for trying to help and other than this issue, i have been very happy with Kaspersky's program.
Don
Mech---- There's something else I found that was NOT Kaspersky's website, but it's the first listing (Kaspersky in BOLD--Buy high-quality virus protection at Kaspersky's official site)
), when you type Kaspersky in Google. It started downloading something and the only way I could close it, was to (Ctrl/Alt/Del) End Task.
