Kaspersky with Windows Firewall

I bought Kaspersky AV 7, as it's on sale this week for $20. I saw Office Max also had it for $20, but also had Kaspersky Internet Security for $30. The main difference was anti-spam, parental control, and firewall, which I didn't need. So I thought...

I decided to keep the AV, and installed it, and it made me uninstall my Comodo firewall. I see it's incompatible with ZA too. So now what do I do? I can't return the opened AV software. I don't want to pay $30 for IS after I just paid $20 for AV. Will I be OK just running Kaspersky with XP's firewall?

Yes, but do use a router between you and the internet in conjunction with it.

KIS is modular, you can do a custom install and install only the components / features that you require, so either one would be OK.

Also, here is a Kaspersky deal that might have interested you😉

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping I can just keep with what I have now: KAV and XP Firewall. Wasn't sure if XP's firewall wasn't sufficient.

Are you using a router with it?

Yes, Linksys. Any particular settings? I haven't messed with the firewall settings on it.

The default settings are perfect (stealth all ports) so you're good to go.
