Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0

Would you recommend using Kaspersky 6 anti-virus + Sygate or just Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 with no Sygate? That's all, thanks.

I don't know what Sygate is, but generally Kaspersky is known as being the best anti virus out there...I guess I'd recommend it.

Sygate is firewall software, I'm wondering if I should use that with Kaspersky anti-virus or the whole Kaspersky Internet Security suite with no Sygate.

just use the whole kaspersky setup, it takes about 24mb (antivirus + firewall + antispy)

i used to run kaspersky with sygate, then i moved to kerio and i feel that just kaspersky all around is a more contained option

Hi, I just got Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 for my new laptop and I also use PC-Cillin 2006 for my desktop.

Two different interfaces but both great utilities, yes get Kaspersky you will like it and btw, I got Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 from NewEgg under the software "DownLoad" section as it was a lot cheaper there.

How is the firewall, is it bothersome at all? I'm just leary of a program that tries to do too much, thinking it might be better to stick with separate firewall and AV programs.

Well, do what you want 🙂 but both of the programs that I use are not memory hogs in the least and they are not a bother as you can tell the programs not to notify you if you would like.

Kaspersky is new to me but in the future I will probably be sticking with Kaspersky! you can just use the default WinXP service-Pak2 firewall and just get the Kaspersky or PC-Cillon A.V.
software if you so choose too...
