My Norton Antivirus subscription ends in a little over a month, so I wanted to try Kaspersky before deciding whether to renew.
I uninstalled Norton and installed Kaspersky last night, and it seemed okay (interface is a bit dated) on resources etc. This morning I plugged in my Sony Walkman MP3 player to add some weekly radio shows I download every Saturday but it did not show up. Also, my O/S made a strange audio beep when I plugged it into my computer (instead of the normal dada sound Windows makes when you plugged in a portable device, it made a swish swish type sound. I checked under devices and it had an exclamation mark on it and the readout stated the driver was corrupted.
After analyzing it, I finally uninstalled Kaspersky and also removed the Sony driver, plugged Sony Walkman back in and Windows added a driver for it. It worked fine. I then re-installed Kaspersky and same thing again (Walkman woudl not show up.) I then uninstalled Kaspersky and went back to Norton Antivirus and removed and then let Windows reinstall a driver for the Walkman.
Is Kaspersky generally this obtrusive (does stuff on its own like this)?
