KASPERSKY ANTI-VIRUS PROBLEM

I just join here and hoping that anyone can help me out this problem.

I purchased Kaspersky Version 6.0 lastnight and I didn't know that this anti-virus ware wouldn't activate without internet connection.

My problem is I have the Serial Number to activate but it didn't work as it needed to connect to kaspersky website to determine its validity date. I dont have internet connection at home what shall i do?. Yet am using office internet and immediately go to ww.kaspersky.com but the website did not open! Anyone help me please how to activate it without internet connection required, and how to open kaspersky website?

While the computer is on the office network, try to activate the Kaspersky antivirus software. If you want antivirus protection to be effective, it will need an Internet connection anyway, so it can update the virus databases (which Kaspersky does every 60 minutes) and protect you from new malware.

mechBgon, thank you very much for the reply. Our office computer is managed by an IT and is centrally virus proctected.

The Kaspersky version 6.0 I bought lastnight is for my personal computer at home; unfortunately I do not have internet connection.

Please read below code activation instructions as enclosed in the package.

Activate using the activation code

1. In the first window of the wizard, select Activate using the activation code and klick next.
2. In the second window, enter the activation code (written on the installation CD envelope) in the Activation Code field. The activation code must be entered using Latin characters click next.
3. The setup wizard will connect to the Kaspersky Lab servers and send your registration data (the activation code and personal information0, which are inspected on the server.

If the activation code passes inspection, the Wizard will receive a license key file. This will be installed automatically and you will see an activation completion window with detailed information on the installed license key. If the activation code does not pass inspection, you will see a correcsponding message on the screen

So, it is understood that the activation code is subject for verification and authentication? It says when code passes inspection Kaspersky will send a license key file and this will be installed automatically? I am thinking to run Kaspersky in the office and get that license key but that still did not work for sure as it is automatically installed and might go somewhere??? also if I get it then still I cannot use it because from registration field using actifvation code it cannot proceed because there's no internet connection.

I love this software so any further help??? I dont want to go for other branded anti-virus softwares i.e McAfee or Norton etc. though they were fine as the code can be activated without internet connection only they required connection for updates!!

1) You will need an Internet connection to activate. Maybe you can take your computer to a friend's house to activate it?

2) Without constant updates, the virus protection will not be effective, so you will need an Internet connection to update the virus databases.

3) If you want good protection that does not depend on antivirus software, begin using a Limited account. If your version of Windows can also do Software Restriction Policy, then also use that.
