The sad thing is that 'the people' more and more are viewing the presidential race like it's effing American Idol, or like their student council elections in junior high. Too many will vote for her just because of her gender because we need another 'historic' president. That's not intended as a partisan jab, btw, it's an indictment on the American people.

Sure, it's only because she's a woman. The fact she's eminently qualified and is the best vetted candidate in the history of the world (she's been attacked by conservative talk 365 days a year since 1992, and not a single smear has stuck) has nothing to do with it -- we could pick a high school dropout prostitute off the street and they'd win simply because of their gender, right?

It doesn't matter if she's a woman, or her emminent qualification, or best vetted candidate in history - she holds beliefs that roughly half the voting populace opposes. Necessity of proper professional background doesn't prove sufficiency on its own for voters to support her.

I love it when Rove pipes up and reminds everyone what a dishonest shithead he is.

Yes, Hillary has brain damage. Just like how John McCain fathered an illegitimate interracial baby. Way to go turd blossom, do Faux proud.

I wish it was American Idol. Cause Clinton can barely talk much less sing. She screeches like a banshee.

Rove might very well be right. Those glasses are to correct double vision that can occur from brain injury/damage.

But really, what difference at this point does it make.

What difference does it make. Liberals aren't going to vote for her based on her qualifications or her abilities. The Democratic Party just needs a democratic in the White House. She will be sold as a Budget surplus Clinton who will save the nation. Like Obama, people will vote for an image of a celebrity.

And I'm sure we can all count on enjoying your whiney posts about it for the next 8 years afterwards.

The smallest margin of victory for Clinton in a hypothetical matchup vs every known Repub contender at the moment over at RCP is currently 9 points (Christie). Combine that with the ever improving economy and Obama's job approval in the daily tracking polls (Gallup, Rasmussen) at RCP hitting 48% for the first time in a year and, well...

Repubs be sweating.

The problem that both Liberals in the primaries and Republicans in the general election (for different reasons) are eventually going to have taking on Clinton is she is the preferred candidate of the corporatist oligarchy. Even over a Republican. The plutocrats know that a Republican can bring them some temporary goodies that will last until the government changes again, but a Blue(Lap)Dog Democrat can help legitimize those gains as "bipartisan" and make them more permanent. The only reason for a liberal to vote for Clinton in general election are the SCOTUS picks.

Karl Rove.

Nuff said.

He was taught by one of the worst backbiters in the world who tried to repent all his BS on his deathbed.

Lee Atwater

Funny that Atwater had a brain tumor.

Maybe not funny, but ya know.

Coincidence ?

Karl Rove is funny.

There's a real art to being completely shameless and this guy delivers.

Fucking nailed it.

Clinton looks like a lock vs anything else i'm seeing.

Republicans have been getting beat up at nearly every policy and their ongoing stubborness (though perhaps reasonable given whats coming through the chute) is going to be their undoing. Romney, seriously come on they weren't even trying putting up a guy like that, such a poor choice i'm not sure if 4 years is enough to recover or be taken seriously again by moderates. We also know the media will run their typical double standard for/against whomever they are told.

Karl Rove is obviously a lifelong shit-stirrer and overall weasel. I have no problem with someone in good faith, questioning whether a potential presidential candidate has a medical condition which might make him or her unsuitable for office, but in this particular instance I see no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt that he is speaking out of any genuine concern. In particular, his wild mischaracterization of the extent of her hospitalization speaks volumes. In any case, the public will have ample opportunity to determine Hillary's mental competency if she runs.

She probably has neurological damage however Rove is probably as much an expert on what that means as AT "scientists" do on the complex subject of obesity, which would be just about nothing. I don't want Hillary, not because of specious and ignorant supposition but unlike the OP I don't want another Hawk in office.

What makes you think she's a hawk? Did her husband start a bunch of wars as president?
Last time I checked it was Republicans pushing for wars in Syria and Iran.

Please return to the obesity thread in H&F for more verbal abuse.

Edit: My bad, that was here in P&N.
