Kargil War between India and Pakistan

For all of you who wonder why India doesn't trust Pakistan here is why. Heck the Pakistanis maintained that the Pakistani army wasn't involved and it was just a militant incursion.
They even refused to take back the bodies of their soldiers.

So please excuse us if we take Pakistan's claims of going after terrorists with a pinch of salt.

Sorry I didn't read your article but I did a lot of research on Kargil in college and I encourage people to read this and as much as they can about it. If you want something that encapsulates Indian/Pakistani relations, Kargil is it.

The thing I love about India and Pakistan is that I couldn't tell a person from one or the other to save my life, but so many of these self hating clowns, with their absurd nationalistic and religious hate, would kill each other for a dime.

heck, You are no different..... with your self-elevated attitude I certainly wouldn't take a dime to save your neck- why should anyone save you? If you are really concerned why don't you go there and help innocent people instead of acting like you are above all religions and hatred. Each person is born with a certain amount of pride...which you have no doubt, since you are too cowardly to show them outside.

I have to be struck by the very short term planning of the operation that could have escalated to an all out war. All that death, dying, and expense to have temporary occupation of a few outposts along the Kashmir line of control.

But as long as there are those bones of contention like the Kashmir dispute, there will always be military types who concoct brilliant little operations to make things better. Almost all of these operations backfire big time in the longer sweep of time.

Need I remind you WW1 was started by some minor official who ran a terrorist cell as a sideline. And the US got dragged into WW2 after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. And the the roots of 911 can be directly traced to Reagan's decision to arm terrorists in Afghanistan so we could tweak the nose of the Russian Bear. And now thanks to some of these military and CIA hatched brainfarts, we are the proud father of two twin quagmires in Irag and Afghanistan.

The ole saying of in for a penny, in for a pound applies, and maybe everyone one rational should say hell no when some military idiot says I can make things better.

It's difficult to reply to somebody who can understand what he reads, because only more confusion on your part will result.

If you could read, you would have understood that I wouldn't take my life for a Pakistani or an Indian, because I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. All I see are human beings with a nice color of skin. They may be worth a dime to each other but to me they are just like me, only my skin isn't quite so nice, of course, in my opinion. So you see, as far as I am concerned I don't need you to save me because I have already been saved, and of course by me. I died to stupid racial and ethnic and religious bigotry. I am free of that disease and particularly to the extent I would kill anybody for being less than me. As the most worthless person in the world, you see, I have nobody I can look down on to kill. All the pride I was born with is still there because I wasn't born with any. I picked all that up along the way but a lot of that died too.
