Kardashian Debit Card - did you know about the fees asociated with it?

If only 250 people fell for the scam, then that's the real reason it was cancelled. Not enough marks to get a decent profit.

Kardashian Debit card? Never heard of it, is this why those annoying Kardashian divas are so popular, because of Daddy's business?

"Just to buy the card and use it costs $59.95 for six months, or $99.95 for 12 months. That does not include any money on the card. The person buying the card must add money onto it.

The initial feels were just the start. After those six or 12 months are up, it costs $7.95 a month to keep using the card. Users have to pay $1.50 to withdraw cash from an ATM, and $1 to check their balance. Talking to a customer representative on the phone costs $1.50 for each call, and canceling the card costs $6.

Losing the card results in a charge of $9.95. If the loss is reported within two days, then losses are limited to $50. But if the loss or theft is not reported, and the issuer believes the user knew it was lost or stolen, then losses could be as high as $500, according to the terms and conditions on the Kardashian Kard website."

Heh suckers born everyday. But what I find a little amusing are people dont seem to have a problem with debit cards charging 1-2 or more bucks when withdrawing money from an ATM from their own account.

When my wife first opened a CC, it basically showed up with a $300 limit, and a balance of $260 in opening fees. She didn't notice and charged $50 on it, which was accepted, but with a $40 over-the-limit-fee. She stopped using it and payed off the balance in a few months (at something like 24% APR,) then cancelled.

So basically, she signed up to pay for a $300+ bill.

A debit card tied to the Kardasians has been canceled.
The reality sibs - Kim, Khloe and Kourtney - launched it Nov. 10, but sales were scrapped Monday because the prepaid MasterCard-branded card carried "outrageous" fees -- which is bad news for the financially irresponsible who may buy it.
