Hi. On which console would you prefer to get the karaoke game? Also how much do the songs cost? I had a blast with a bunch of friends at someone's house and was thinking of getting one of these for parties and stuff.

I also have an htpc hooked up to the onkyo receiver so I suppose I could use that too. I don't have any experience with Karaoke and HTPC's so I was wondering if that was doable as well.

I own -- or will own -- just about every karaoke game there is for the Xbox 360 (and many for the PS2). It comes down to "lips" versus "singstar" (xbox 360 vs. ps3), and most people prefer the latter. But the xbox wins because it also has the Karaoke Revolution Series (and it has the Sing It series too, but that's all High School Musical crap).

So, in short, I'd go 360. Songs are between 120 and 180 MS points or whatever, but I don't have any experience with that. Buying the discs is much cheaper, so that's the route I went.

(I own Karaoke Revolution 3, Karaoke Revolution Party, American Idol and Get on the Mic for the Playstation 2, and American Idol Encore, American Idol Encore 2, Lips and Karaoke Revolution for the Xbox 360)
