Karaoke on htpc

I have a few MP3+G files and would like to add a karaoke feature to my htpc. Currently I have the video from it going to the tv using a dvi to hdmi cable. Audio is being passed from the onboard sound through an optical cable to a 5.1 receiver. I'm using winamp with a mp3+g plugin to play the files. The lyrics gets displayed on my hdtv and the sound plays through the receiver.

Here are some problems. First, the receiver has no mic inputs so I'm using the mic input on the onboard sound. Even turning the mic gain all the way up the mic volume is too low. Secondly I can only connect one mic so no backup vocal or duets possible.

So I've been doing some searching and think I found what I need.

Looks like it has a simple 2 channel input and 2 channel output via RCAs. So I assume I'll just connect the analog out from the sound card with a 3.5mm to RCA cable to the mixer's input. Then a pair of RCA from the mixer's outputs to an available input on the receiver?
