Kanye West - All Falls Down video + question

the version w/ luarn hill is much better. ANd the def jam poetry session for this is awesome, heard it on the radio, does anybody have it? I tried to buy it on iTunes but they dont' have it
 
Wow, that's a tight video. And Stacey Dash is all kinds of fine. I ain't even mad at 'em for those slow motion running shots. I wish I had a quarter to bounce off that.

Anyway, as for the mirrors, they filmed Kanye and the mirror seperately, and spliced the two together. I'm not exactly sure which parts they superimposed (was there a set behind the Kanye footage in the bathroom?), but it seems like it would be easiest to do it by computer. If you watch, before he rubs his eyes, you can see his shoulders shift in the mirror, and I don't think that can be accounted for just by the collar of his jacket moving. Also, with the hands, that was the cameraman or someone with his hands in front of the camera. It's easy to see that the movements don't exactly match, but it's a pretty clever effect.

Nice video, though. Good stuff. Edit: Also, +1 for the plate-in-chin cameo. 😛 As soon as they arrived at the metal detector, I knew they were going to do it... I didn't expect him to get on the X-ray conveyor, though.

I have to say that although I don't usually listen that kind of music I really like the video - and of course Stacey Dash is hot.
 
just saw the video on direct effect, they dont have the graduation intro track at the end when the plane is flying like they had in the link posted above. close captioned showed "[gospel music playing]", but i couldnt hear anything, just the roar of the plane's engine. perhaps i have bad hearing.
 
ahahahha...im laughin my ass off...they filmed that video at ONT, airport in Ontario, CA (riverside represent). how fitting i've been the biggest kanye west fan for the past year (when i first heard through the wire on the get well soon mixtape) then he comes to my neck of the woods to film his video.
