Kano Technologies just now opened their online store. They have a pretty good selection of media. This is one of the only places that I know of that is selling 8x DVD+R/DVD-R media AND DOUBLE SIDED MEDIA (9.4GB). A variety of the silver topped and inkjet printable media in each speed.

VERBATIM MEDIA
- 8x DVD+R
- 8x DVD-R
- 4x DVD+R
- 4x DVD-R
- Double SIDED 2.4x DVD+R media (9.4GB TOTAL on a SINGLE disc)

checkout their media store. you can also buy their products online too. I have one of their DVD burners and purchased some of their media and it's a pretty good buy for the quality of product.

Funny thing on their site is link to PC World's burner ratings. #5 Pacific Digital Mach 8 is rebadged Lite-On 811S which is ranked #2!!

PC World includes the software bundle in their rankings, and installation instructions and the like, so the Liteon may be better in those categories.

Thanks for the heads up ryseroni. They have good prices on Verbatim media. Most places want $3 a disc for the 8x rated stuff.

OK, this is probably a naive question, but what good is double-sided media if no one had double-sided burners?

Can you simply turn the media around or something?

yes

i've figured out why they have double sided media. it's a specialty item that they are using for their DVD+RW/R jukebox. yea, seems like more of a specialty item more than anything for their library system. but hey good to see that someone is coming out with media thats actually keeping up with the drive speeds.
