Defense Secretary Robert Gates is submitting to Congress a manual for trials of detainees being held at Guantanamo Bay that would allow the admission of hearsay evidence and coerced testimony, a Pentagon official told reporters Thursday.

anyone know what the point of allowing hearsay evidence would be? Other than to spam up proceedings and overturn convictions later on?

The idea is to hold them all until Bush returns to Crawford and stick the problem to the next President.
This plan may sound familiar because it is the Bush plan for Iraq.
