Gifted article:

With whiny staffer behavior like this, it's a wonder why more staplers aren't thrown around, because it sounds like some people need a stapler thrown at them. God forbid your boss read the brief, be prepared for the meeting, and have important follow-up questions before they make a decision. The nerve!
Evidently Kamala's mom was the real deal.

And yet, there is a distinct possibility he could be coronated 47.

More than a possibility.. quite likely due to dems shooting themselves in the foot over the Gaza issue.

We can hope project 2025/ dobbs/ bans is enough but honestly.. if grab em by the pussy couldn't hurt Trump.. you know he's not losing his base. They'll stick with him because they want to own err kill the libs.

what could dems do differently on gaza?

if you play hard with israel, you'll lose a lot of the "we must support israel at all costs" voters
if you play soft with israel, you'll lose "we must universally support human rights at all costs" voters

the unfortunate political calculus, is that there are a LOT more people in the first camp than there are in the 2nd, and a lot of them are potential republican votes. which means they really count twice (one vote lost for trump, one vote gained for harris). the second camp are likely progressive/democrats anyways. the fraction who would refuse to vote solely on that account is probably quite small. after all, trump would only enable netanyahu to massacre the palestinians even moreso.

Do you realize you're asking the guy who wants to exterminate Muslims?

At the end of the Wapo article on Kamala's administrative style:

Duran — the former aide in Harris’s California attorney general’s office who was once dubbed “the go-to anti-Harris quote” by Politico — said he’s swallowing his criticism too.

“There’s no question in my mind that whatever Harris’s flaws are, Donald Trump is much, much worse,” Duran said.

Don't know what to make of this. I guess it's a positive sign in one way, yet always associate him with the invasion of Iraq and the Bush era in general so not sure it's entirely a good thing to have him on Kamala's side. Have to wonder if it says as much about Kamala and the Democrats as it does about Trump and the current Republican Party.

Despite their spindly legs, they're hardier than you might think. I mostly just use a tissue and grab 'em up, being as careful as I can not to injure them, and it seems I never have. It takes a few tries to nab those bad boys. Spiders are A-Ok with me. Now ants and mosquitoes otoh. I'd like to be a Bhuddist who understands that all life forms are part of our divine universe, but I'm never gonna' get there in, ummmm, this lifetime. :p

Plus, I had to go to war with rats after a flood. There was no way I was going to trap them all. So, poison it was, even though that's a terrible way to die. In the end, this is MY HOME and there was no way they could be there . . . even though they are smart, loving and social and can make good pets.

My infestation was like the Orcs in Ukraine. They HAD to go. There's nothing that will get your attention more than getting up in the middle of the night and going to kitchen for some water, completely naked, and coming upon a rat who, as startled by my presence as I was by his, jumps straight up 4 feet in the air from 4-5 feet away. Yeah, that was a no-go.
Spiders got it going on!

In general, the more Republicans that endorse Harris the better. Yes, even Dick Cheney. Anyone who is willing to call him out as the gravest that to the country is a welcome endorsement IMO. This isn't some putin-esque troll endorsement.

A quote from a recent Tucker Carlson speech.

It's weird how much being called weird bothers them.

It's weird how they are hurt by being called weird, and then say batshit weird things right after that.

"I just hope that you remember no matter what happens after this and it's the beginning of September of an election year, So I can promise you America will not look as it does today in two months. It won't. It won't. A lot's gonna happen that we can't control or predict. But trust me. It'll be a different place by the first week of November.
But no matter what happens and I'm praying for good outcomes of course I know everybody in this room is no matter what happens just remember that you are not weird.
So weird.
Say they castrate your children.
People. It's just weird.
Okay.
Say that.
Well, I love you, too, and. But what I wanted to say is everyone, every kind of normal person, which is the overwhelming majority of people in this country and this world, actually, particularly in this country, no matter where they're from, no matter what they look like or who they voted for in the past, they know that."

What is your take on this Lichtman prediction? He has apparently gotten the last 10 presidential elections right? I see him mentioned over and over again but to be honest I dont really see the fascination.

It's Paul right?

So suppose its a coin toss, and for 10 presidents all you'd need is 2^10 ~ 1024 nostradumbasses to toss the coin and on average you'd have one of them hit 10 predictions correctly.

So is Lichtman a Paul? What you say?

(wait is it 11?)

American history will more likely look more favorably on Dick Cheney than on Donald Trump. And Cheney is a pretty much a war criminal. At least the Cheney's are trying to save their party and the country from a deranged conman who admires fascist dictators.

The Cheney's may be irrelevant. But they sure drive Donnie Doll hands nuts. It's fascinating how fragile tough guy Trump is.

Trump has donated millions to Democrats including Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. That's the very definition of a "RINO".

Nate Silver's model giving Trump a 61% chance of winning.

Could very well be but I think Right Wing Media and Pollsters have learned how to game his system.

It's basically like some coach coming up with a great defensive plan for the season.. works great.. unbeaten season. He uses it again for the second season.. still works good.. lost 2 games but won again. Third season still somewhat reliable. Fourth season.. the league has adjusted and it's not working anymore but he still gets respect for 3 winning seasons..

Sean Hannity seems to say Republicans should boycott Disney if ABC isn’t nice to Big Baby Donald at the debate, which comes as some surprise, as I thought they were already boycotting Disney because of "WOKE" shit or something.

Oh No's ... A Double Secret Disney Boycott!
fuck them. just say "stop lying and there won't be any problems". conservatives are the biggest fucking snowflakes because they want everyone to treat their manufactured universe as if it's actually reality and then get pissed at people who don't play that game (see, the courts).

Trump camp is pre-complaining about the debate in case it doesn't go well for him.

I'd love nothing more than to see Disney and the Republican party get into a knife fight.
