Obama did win Florida twice.

That said, the place has been drawing rubes and scared boomers like flies on shit since then. People that look at what Desantis has been doing and say "gimme more of THAT!" In particular, the rallying cry of the true imbecile: "Woke! Woke! It's Woke! gobble gobble"

But hey maybe it'll make Trump "defend" Florida by spending here.

Yeah, it's vastly different than '12. Like you said, lots of crazies were drawn in. Then the swamp gas really gets them good ...

TBH, Texas is probably closer to flipping.

I really really really hope that the momentum that has built up results in actual votes. Hillary winning seemed like a foregone conclusion and then election night was a disaster lol. I just hope the voters don't get complacent thinking Kamala has this in the bag (even if it feels like that atm).

Harris is barely ahead right now even if the trend is "up" so hopefully nobody feels that way.

I look at it like Harris is a boxer who traveled to the hometown of the champ--home town bias, and tie goes to the champ means that she has to really dominate to have a close win. Everyone knows that Republicans will again try to fix the election, hell they aren't really trying to hide it (and beneath the surface you know a lot more is going on). They know they can't win a fair fight so they'll make it an unfair one. I hope Biden authorizes everything in his power to try to prevent or at least spot election fraud. Hell, in his power or not, do it--after all, he can't be held accountable, right?

Many of the rich boomers I know have moved to Florida in the last decade. Or at least changed their primary residence to Florida. It’s a Mecca for the death cult. Would be mind-blowing if the impossible happened though.

Biden should use his new found immunity well.

Just a little warning, get ready for voter role purges in red states, focused in densely populated centers with large minority populations
I’m also betting on purposeful closing / understaffing of polling centers in metro areas and refusal to certify voting records by county and state election boards with conservative majorities if Trump is losing.

I’d also expect shenanigans if control of the house is switching to Dems to try and prevent that.

The game plan is going to be put enough drag on liberal votes to make it close, throw enough bullshit to make it seem the vote can’t be certified and then try and get him elected by a friendly House.

Bonus points for rushing court cases to the friendly SCOTUS.

The only way we don’t see a huge shit show is if Trump is actually winning so it’s not needed (unlikely) or Harris and the house Dems blow it out by such a margin that elections shenanigans can’t overcome them without being obviously criminal.

I’m betting the following

15% Legit Trump win
30% Harris blow out.
55% Shit show.

The shit show wild card is if election tampering is egregiously obvious does Biden use his new immunities to ‘fix’ the election (leave it up to the reader to decide if that means follow the will of the voters or put his hand on the scale).

wait what? FL was a 50/50 state as recently as 2018 (gubernatorial election).

TX hasn't voted purple in decades.

(I'm not saying FL is actually in play, but it could be if it ever reverted to pre 2020 norms.)

It is ludicrous to suggest Joe Biden would deign to be Nicolas Maduro.

State office results are meaningless in the context of presidential elections. It's how you get Romney elected in MA or Justice (when he was a D) in WV.

The difference between TX and FL recently appears to be the demographics that are moving in/out. FL is getting lots of the crazy MAGAts because FREEDUMB. TX is getting lots of urban growth and CA transplants to places like Austin/Houston. I expect that will achieve positive results sooner than the people that hate wearing masks all showing up in the FL panhandle. They're just going in opposite directions.

What I’m saying is if a scenario happens where legal voting would provide a win for Harris and a Democratically controlled house but obvious borderline illegal election tampering happens in red controlled states to prevent a Dem controlled majority in the house and a concerted effort among red states and SCOTUS to throw the election decision into the House so Trump wins would Biden step in and fix the election.

Fix could mean something different to different members on our board. To someone who thinks democracy and elections are so the majority of people can choose their leader that would be Biden following the will of the people.

To someone who thinks elections are something you try super hard to subvert so your guy gets into office Biden ‘fixing’ the election so it reflects the will of the people is really just him cheating even better than they did.

Texas isn't exactly in play, but has been leaning farther and farther left for years. In 2016, it was one of the few states that actually swung more left in the presidential election.

Gee, outlawing abortion and pushing for things like getting rid of no-fault divorces gets women riled up. Along with a candidate that proudly complains he'll grab them where he feels like. Who knew? All I can say is, thanks ladies for keeping Democrats competitive.

I still cannot fathom how not all 50 states are in play. It's every eligible voter's responsibility to NOT vote for the orange serial liar.

But he was sent by god to save us from Marxist nazi hellscape the democrats want to implement. Can you imagine how awful the world would be if people stopped starving and going broke for basic healthcare? How will the billionaires become trillionaires in such an in ungodly environment? Who doesn’t fondly remember the great words of Jesus in the sixth book of capitalism chapter 6 verse 6? And I sayeth unto you, this is mine, thouist can fuck off, for this is mine. All of what is yours shall be acquired by me by the seeking of rents for this is the way of the lord.

You forgot several other negative descriptors. Never forget, he's a convicted felon waiting for sentencing.

The available negative descriptors for this ultimate traitor is voluminous. I've seen quite a few impressive assemblies of them. Daunting, amazing. I was aware I had boiled it down. Serial liar is enough to make it a sin to vote for Trump/Vance ticket.
