Kakewalk 4.5 released (now with ML support):

Kakewalk is for easily installing Mac OSX on compatible Intel CPU systems, especially focusing on the use of Gigabyte motherboards.

Sa-weet!
I go back and forth between Kakewalk and Tonymac's Multibeast. Last couple of systems I set up were with Multibeast and it was pretty damned effortless. But Kakewalk's always been great too. They make it so easy it makes me wonder if Apple has tried to sue them yet. I'm not sure on what legal grounds- but just for making Hackintoshing almost too damn easy? 😀

I'm going to have to give ML a shot using Kakewalk 4.5. Just got a new SSD. Could be a fun project this coming weekend.

I just tried it on my hack and couldn't get it to boot in anything other than safe mode. Kakewalk does not live up to its name.

^ I've used Kakewalk (4.1 and previous) for literally dozens of builds, never an issue. By the way, several with your exact same motherboard.

You're not really clear on the exact problem. You couldn't get what to boot? The USB installer, or the system after you installed from Kakewalk?

If it's the USB installer, then make sure you've got the correct motherboard model selected, and if so, then it's likely your graphics card. Try graphicsenabler=no rather than yes.

Mine booted to the install screen on ML, but nothing showed up but background. It could be because I have three monitors running, and/or I didnt use any boot options. To install Lion or snow, I have to do some boot options (PCIRootUID = 1, and maxmem=8096) didnt try these yet. Might try again tonight or weekend.

But the directions seem really easy.

Reading kakewalk post same vid card as me same issue. Setting graphicenabler to no fixed his issue. Will try tonight.

It installs fine. I cannot boot the finished product without going into Safe Mode. I'll try graphicsenabler=no, but yes works fine for Lion.

give it a few days tonymac will have fixes and guides

kakewalk needs you to select mobo and video card to really know how to config everything. Still its nice to have to do a little work

I got Mountain Lion working after using Tonymac's Unibeast-Multibeast solution. I still got a kernel panic on boot at first, but after I replaced org.chameleon.boot.plist in the Mountain Lion install with the one from my Lion install, it booted right up. I don't know know why I didn't think of that in the first place.
