Kaiser (HMO) or Coresource (PPO) - Health Care?

Ok, so I'm offered one or the other. Kaiser is cheaper, about $100 cheaper for the year compared to Coresource PPO.

so...
1. Is the movie John Q true about HMO pays doctors to not tell their patients about their problems?

2. Are the doctor qualities that different?

I'm a total newbie to this area, any experience would be helpful. Thanks!
 
i currently have aetna hmo and haven't had any problems, except they keep upping the copay. don't know if the movie is correct. i have always heard that ppos are better. my mental / dental coverages does suck though. for normal stuff, the hmo seems ok.
