It's not just that, it's AMD and Intel not wanting to produce drivers for a deprecated product.

By the time Zen finally launches, windows 7 will be like 8 years old. Why would you want to use an 8 year old OS? Even if you cut off all the updates and telemetrics, windows 10 will be more secure than windows 7.

Eh, any clean install of Windows will be "behind the times". Aside from the IGP, I suspect that the obscure issue here or there that might show up and be addressed in an optional update will not, and that will be the extent of the lack of support.

I absolutely refuse to upgrade to 10 so I'm hoping that there is at least compatibility rather than optimization. I was using windows 2000 until roughly 2011 when I switched to Windows 7. I see absolutely no need to use 10. For what I do it's completely unnecessary (casual photoshop and minimal gaming). This is a typical attempt by microsoft to FORCE consumers to use their product.

If it was so, why does it bother you so much than? What do you loose with W10?
