KA7-100 , Win98SE and SB 16 PCI lockups

Every time I try to install the SB 16 PCI sound the PC locks up at boot just when desktop is loading. I've tried swapping slots, new drivers,pulling all other cards and reloading Win98SE. I am not using the HighPoint BIOS. Have out the latest VIA 4 in 1 pack also. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I don't know if that board has onboard sound but if it does then you have to disable it in the bios or you will get lock-ups.

The KA7-100 has no integrated sound, so don't worry about disabling it. Try to enable the "Memory Hole" option in the BIOS, it may help you out.
