KA7-100 and T-bird-------HOW?

I just got a slot t-bird 700 and cannot get it to work on a ka7 or a asus k7v. Is there anything special you have to do to get this combo to work? It will boot up then hang when i get the win 98 screen and when i try to do a fresh install i get errors.


I just hope im doing something wrong and didnt get screwed on this proccessor.


If anyone has any ideas it would be helpful =)

the asus k7v cannot use the slot a thunderbirds. don't know why. check this out and it might help:

To get a T-bird working on a KA7 or a KAY-100, you need to change the Cpu pull and dive strength. They are set at 3/2. I have mine set at 2/4, but AMD tells people in the forums to us 0/1 but i have heard people using 0/0.
