As the subject says...
I just moved across the town yesterday.
Of course, being internet freak the first thing I took out of the boxes is my computer. So, I took everything out of the boxes and started assembling all the parts. Did it in half an hr. So after I pressed the power button, the system boots but there's nothing on screen. So I thought, something must be loose inside. Well, yes, my HDD cable was loose alright, but that's it!! I checked everything thrice, but still there was nothing on screen and there wasn't beep or whatsoever. So, this morning I went to my friend's place to borrow his CPU and memory in hoping that perhaps my system got static from the packaging or whatever, but still nothing. The LEDs on KA266-R mobo light on, there was no error and the LEDs on my Leadtek GF2MX also light on. So am I missing something here?
My system is not overclocked, btw...
any help is appreciated, if you might have an idea of what's happening pls reply here or email me at dr_maul@usa.com
thanks a lot!

Mysterio,

Try resetting all your cards & ram & anything that has a connection, some part or parts may have gottten loose in the transport process. good luck.

Reseat everything. I had to do that when I moved. The PC got jarred around and all it took was reseating all the cards one by one and it finally booted.

Some boards have jumpers on them for I/O, Iwill does I believe (I know the KK266 series do.) So that MIGHT help.

Seat the memory harder. This is a common problem where the memory seems to be seated well but it really isn't.

I'm with everyone saying reseat all cards. That's happened to me several times, no moving, just not pushing cards in quite far enough. Especially the memory with the KA board.

Increasing voltage? It apparently worked before, why would he give it more voltage to run now?

If you can't find anything wrong with the computer, one other thing does occur to me. Check the electrical outlet. Place you moved into might not be wired correctly. Lot of stores have a little plug tester, just a 3 prong plug with some LEDs in it which tell you if your outlets are wired backwards, no ground, etc. Longshot, but having just moved, the house is definately different, computer shouldn't be.

setup your motherboard with chip, hsf, video, one stick of ram, and power.
then you have it down to very few things that it could be.

I speculate that perhaps the heatsink might have gotten tilted a bit and cracked the core...
its something that could have happened
