K8V SE Deluxe What SATA Connectors

If i am using only 1 sata drive, what connectors should I use? The ones off the VIA controllers(SATA1\SATA2) or the Promise controller (PRI_SATA\SEC_SATA).

Also, during the OS install - F6 - must I choose to load either the Promise or VIA drivers?

Spoke to ASUS yesterday, they said for a single SATA to use the Promise. From what i have been reading, this is not the optimal setup. For single SATA users using this board, what is your setup?
