k8v se deluxe sata problem?

hello,
i am trying to install xp on to a system with k8v se deluxe mobo, 3200+ cpu, 2x512 ddr400 and a seagate sata 160G hdd. i am able to install linux just fine in to this hdd. but when i try to install xp, it says xp cannont find any harddisks on the system. but the bios detects the drive and so did linux. what gives?

solved. thank god for google and slipstreaming. loaded new via drivers in the xp1 cd and installed . no problem.

or if you had a floppy, hit f6 at startup to load them
